Every year we have the honor and privilege of gathering to thank some of the nation's most important heroes: those who work to protect us and our communities every day.

On this 20th Anniversary of September 11th, working through the second year of a global pandemic, your nomination is more important than ever.

 

For a decade, the Government Technology & Services Coalition (GTSC), owner of Homeland Security Today, has served the homeland security community to grow and nurture a trusted network of government and industry to protect our nation. Our guiding principles have been Miss10n, Vis10n, Act10n and supporting those who understand that accolades don't come for those who made it "NOT happen."

 

In December, we will gather in-person to celebrate the heroes among us and to mark the 10th Anniversary of GTSC. Leadership from the inception of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, previous award winners, 10th anniversary winners and a host of VIPS from the public and private sector will join us to celebrate, commemorate, and continue to build our vibrant, committed community.

 

Please take a moment to consider your colleagues and nominate someone who has forwarded the mission, who has made it their personal quest to protect our people, assets and way of life.

Additionally, in commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of 9/11 we have added a new category to the awards: Lifetime Achievement Award. Please consider someone, who, since 9/11 has devoted their life and personal mission to protecting our homeland.
